We're trying to leave the 60's behind us. It's a difficult transition and we still have many yards of gorgeous paisley curtains to go, but we are the proud new owners of non-tacky kitchen lighting! Yes, it's a wonderful day. Someday we may even get rid of the yellow crackle glass globes on all the hall lighting.

Fiona is ridiculously excited about her birthday coming up this week. She's been telling every she knows that she's "bringing butterfly cupcakes to school on my birthday August 4th." We went to the party store today and she picked out a tea party theme for her plates, etc. Grampa will look so pretty in the bonnet party hats we picked out. When she found out that "Auntie" Kendall and David were going to be able to come she did a little dance she was so happy. Now I'm excited too, she was still too little to really know what was going on at her last birthday, this year she knows exactly what presents she wants and who she'd like to attend. I love birthday parties!
